Why do fence prices
vary so much?
Quality of products determines the price of the fence. You must
check the type of wood and posts being used at your business or
home. Omni recommends using cedar wood and 2-3/8" .080 or .095
gauge galvanized steel posts. Ask your installer or look at the
stamp on your post. Most fence builders use "Chinese Cedar"
or fir and 2-3/8" .065 gauge galvanized steel post.
Why choose Omni?
We will customize a fence for your budget and personal needs unlike
our competitors. We will match any competitor's price if we receive
a copy of their bid describing the materials they are using. In
fact, if they are using inferior products we can often save you
additional money as long as we can compare apples with apples.
Why is Omni the better
choice?
We have 2 in-house crews with our own equipment to install your
fence. On occasion we will use sub-contractors. Majority of our
competitors use sub-contractors. This means that you will have less
problems with Omni and the quality is usually better with employees
rather than sub-contracted labor.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, we provide a limited five year warranty. However, if you choose
to add more support posts or if you stain your fence we add additional
years to your warranty. As mentioned before we provide options.
Is your company insured?
Yes, we provide both general liability and workers compensation.
Most fence companies provide general liability only.
How deep should you
set your post?
For Wood Fence, a minimum of 24" is an Omni Standard. Digging
a deeper whole does not always provide stability. It is important
to know the width of the whole as well and our standard width is
18", while many try to get away with 12". Any additional
depth can be done with additional cost.
How far apart should
the post be set?
Omni's minimum is 8' apart for wood fence and 10 for chain
link fences.
What type of nails
are used?
We favor using galvanized screws over nails because of strength
and stability. If we use nails we use galvanized 1-7/8" wood
fence nails.
Do you recommend using
stain on your fence?
Yes, stain will help your fence last a few additional years and
it always looks good. We offer both pre-dipped or spray on.
